Welcome to MyOwnTherapist.com.We are here to help you with issues that may be causing you distress in your life.

How Can This Site Help You?

This site has been designed to offer you practical suggestions in how to go about improving the quality of your life. I have found that people often suffer in silence because they either don’t have access to information, don’t know where to go for help, are reluctant to “enter formal therapy” or may believe that no one can help them improve their situation.

MyOwnTherapist.com can give you access to information and provide you with specific answers or suggestions to questions you may have about what isn’t working in your life.

The service you receive will be:

  • Confidential
  • You don’t have to identify yourself if you don’t want to.
  • You can access this service from the comfort and privacy of your own home or computer terminal.
  • Every effort will be made to respond to your question within 48 hours.
  • You will receive sound, practical advice/suggestions based on years of professional experience and practice.

Important

This is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are having thoughts about harming yourself or others, then this service is not appropriate for you at this time. If you are in crisis and have been having suicidal thoughts, then I would strongly suggest that you seek help by contacting a friend or relative you can trust, or by speaking to your local doctor or counsellor or by calling a crisis helpline or service in your area.
